When you think of Bus Safety, what do you think of? Driver requirements, seatbelts and child restraints? Yes, but there is so much more. In this course, participants will explore key components of safely transporting young children--before, during, and after the trip. Best practice recommendations from Caring for Our Children, as well as the National Highway Administration are referenced as learners explore loading zone safety, emergency prevention, and more. This is a 3-hour course worth 0.3 CEU's.
**If you are in Georgia, you will receive CEU credit hours however, this course does not meet the Georgia state requirements and you will not receive Bright from the Start credit. We have a course just for you to gain credit called Transportation Training for Georgia and you will receive CEU’s and Bright from the Start credit.

This course meets the new Child Care Development Fund (CCDF) training requirements for providers and teachers in all states, except for Georgia. This course can be utilized to meet the training requirements to earn or renew your Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, if you live in a state other than Georgia. Course content is aligned with the CDA Subject Area 1: Planning a safe and healthy learning environment.

This course is approved for CEUs in every state. It is also approved for state training hours in Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Delaware, District of Columbia, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, and Virginia.
All teachers and administrators of children birth to age 5. This course is required to meet the new Child Care Development Fund training mandate.
