Participants will explore the impact of classroom climate on children's behavior and learning. For instance, how do the subtle nuances of the teacher's behavior impact the atmosphere in the classroom? You will review important ideas about the nature of positive relationships, and you will study examples and strategies to promote positive teacher-child and child-child relationships. Relationships are essential to children's development and learning. A teacher's ability to create a positive atmosphere will inspire positive relationships and support the education and healthy development of young children. This is a 4-hour course worth .4 CEUs.
