Program and Classroom Assessment

The Program and Classroom Assessment Course focuses on self-evaluation in a single classroom or across multiple classrooms in a center-based program, or in a family child care home. The course prepares early childhood teachers, administrators, and family child care providers for self-guided, self-evaluation. The methods of evaluation are reviewed and include how to analyze the information and use it to make a quality improvement plan. This course involves two field assignments and evaluation tools. A field assignment involves completing an activity away from the computer. This is a 3-hour course worth 0.3 CEUs.

This course can be utilized to meet the training requirements to earn or renew your Child Development Associate (CDA) credential. Course content is aligned with the CDA Subject Area 5: Managing an effective program.
