Teaching with Intention
Participants will explore what it means to teach with intention. Teaching is not only familiarity with content, it is also the way that teachers think about and approach the act of teaching itself. This session provides several ways to learn about and experience a thoughtful approach to teaching. Reflective practice is a tool that underpins intentional teaching; participants will have an opportunity to learn more about reflective practice and have a chance to try it out. This is a 4-hour course worth 0.4 CEU's.

"I will reflect more on the day after class. This is an important thing to do because it helps with future lessons. I will also write down what went good with the lessons and the class and what did not go well. I will also work on asking more open-ended questions and thought-provoking questions and give the children time to think about it before they are pushed to answer questions. I will let the children learn more through discovery.”
